乐队名字很怪异、很个性，五个也不算年轻的人组成了这支Indie乐队，一女四男，其中一个是中国人噢（不知道是姓陈还是程），音乐十分年轻，节奏感不错，满有英伦气质的，旋律轻松咚咚咚咚，流畅但是稍微有些单调，看到小提琴是让人惊喜的，说明这是很现代的，至今发行了一张专集一张EP。

The AirBorne Toxic Event成立于2006，在LA旁边的Los Feliz。作为main former的主唱/吉他手Mikel当时正在创作一部小说，得知自己母亲确诊癌症，自己又同时经历break-up与Autoimmune disease（就像词根拆开那样，患者身体里的细胞自己和自己打架），引发了vitiligo（皮肤上的色素呈补丁/斑状脱落）和alopecia areata（体表毛发骤脱）。经历过这一系列意料之外后，Mikel猛然意识到自己应该写的是歌而不是prose，应该compose一张专辑，而不是一本书。之后的经历愉快得多，Mikel逐渐结识了各个团员，包括Steven Chen华裔lead吉他手和Anna女提琴手。
　　2007 年，他们首次以The Airborne Toxic Event(名称释疑见下)发表EP/Singels Does This Mean You're Moving On? 一年后的夏天，同名debut横空出世，Sometime Around Midnight等多首单曲被LA地区的DJ视为珍宝，在电台里乐此不疲反复播放，和Ludo嬉皮笑脸的Love Me Dead一起成为08后半年最幸福的加州车载摇滚体验（开高速就要大泡普）。
　　在乐此不疲的live show过程里，Mikel依旧保持着他的freelancer writer身份，真挺好。

Group was accompanied by Calder Quartet, Lalo Guerrero Children's choir, The Belmont High School marching Band and a number of guest musicians. This musical documentary debuted at the London Film Festival Raindance Film Festival September 30, 2010
