The engaging two-and-a-half hour Blu-Ray Disc takes in a full concert at the magnificent Belvedere castle in Vienna. It also features Andr 's acceptance of the Austrian Order of Merit at the Belvedere Chateau. Together with the celebrated actress Barbara Wussow, we see the maestro driven through the Old City on the Danube in a horse-drawn carriage, returning yet again to the sites of concerts, which remain unforgettable both to him and his audience.

André's newest album is prophetic. "And the Waltz Goes On" is not only symbolic of André's supreme desire to take the waltz to the world, but also the title of a piece by Sir Anthony Hopkins, who penned the piece more than half a century ago and sent it to André. The result an emotional debut in Vienna in the presence of the great actor and the title of Andre's newest CD, which features entirely new recorded repertoire. What's more, André has composed a waltz himself for the occasion 'Grande Valse Viennoise' which sets the album off to a rousing start.

French and German folksongs, a hit by Elvis Presley ("Are You Lonesome Tonight"), the evergreen "Singing in the Rain" and the immortal song of the war years, "We'll Meet Again" made famous by Dame Vera Lynn all make an appearance on the album, and as with each title on the album, have a special relevance to André's life and work.
"My new album presents waltzes from around the world a sad waltz from Finland, a miniature waltz from France, a popular waltz tune that began life in Germany, and then reaching across continents we go all the way to New Zealand. You see, the waltz is universal. It can be full of surprises."
